Someone In My Life Who Is Like Famliy
My friend Ashley is more like a sister than my real sister. We fight like sisters, and we love each other like sisters. We are so much like family to each other that we help each other out more. We have been best friends since softball team 6 years ago. We even call each other's parents mom and dad. It's really cool to have someone that close to you.

Describing One Of The "Calendar Sisters"
June is like a shark, big and mean. She really doesn't get along with anyone but her sisters. June, I think, is only that way because she is trying to be strong for May. June doesn't get along very well with Lily and that's because she thinks Lily is lying to them. Even though she is lying, doesn't mean that June has the right to be mean. I think that if she does get married she would be a lot nicer to Lily and everyone else. The one thing that she is nice about is when she helps May when she is upset.

What I Did Over My Long, Sunny Weekend
What I did over the weekend was just hang-out with friends. Friday night and Saturday night I stayed at my friend Josh's house. During the day on Saturday we picked up Alex and Mike and went back to Josh's and hung-out there all day. We didn't get back into the house until like midnight. Sunday me, Alex, and Josh went to the park with three other friends and around five we took Alex to work at Safeway. Than Josh, and I went back to my house and hung-out with my friend Mariah and Josh had dinner at my house for the very first time with my family. Over all my weekend was amazing.

Who Is The "Queen Bee"?
I think the "Queen bee" is August because she is the one that takes care of everything. She seems like a tough woman and she takes control of things. I think this because of how the author wrote the book.

Three Things I Learned About Bee Keeping
Three things I learn about bee keeping are:
1. The Queen Bee is the only bee in the hive that can have kids.
2. All the other bees are called the Worker Bees because they take care of the Queen Bee and the feed her and the little bees.
3. Smoke can calm bees down when you are trying to get honey from them. Its good to have smoke with you so you won't get hurt.

Setting From "The Secret Life Of Bees" By Sur Monk Kidd
Front Parlor- "I smelled furniture wax everywhere. Somebody had gone over the entire parlor with it, a big room with fringed throw rugs, an old piano with a lace runner, and cane-bottom rocker draped with afghans. Each chair had its own little velvet stool sitting before it."
Sue Monk Kidd has a different way of writing. Her description of the house was good and strong. The way she said everything makes you feel like you in the house and can smell and feel everything that is there. Sue's writing uses big words and words you wouldn't hear in our day. When she writes it makes me feel like I am at the place she is talking about, and makes me feel what she is feeling. Its a weird way to write but I like it because it is different from any other way someone would write. My writing isn't as good as hers because sometimes you can't feel or smell everything I do. You sort of do, but not like you would with the writing of this book.

Describe A Setting
My friend Josh's grandparents own a big and beautiful house. It blue, not a dark blue but a very light color blue. They have a pond in their front yard and ducks like to swim there. There are like five different yards and they're pretty big, but not that big. It looks really amazing when you look out the front window of the house because you can see the beautiful trees and pond, all of the front yard and the ducks swimming in the pond. Its about three acres of land and they have two dogs that love to run around and play on the yard. All the grandchildren love to go out there and play and just run around outside on nice days. The best part about the house is that it's out in the middle of nowhere so it's very quiet and you don't hear many cars passing through. I love to go to the house and just lay outside and listen to the birds because you can hear with out hearing all the kids yelling. It is a very peaceful place to be.

My first post
This is my first time ever using a blog and its kinda weird but maybe I will like it. Doing it everyday will help me learn more about doing it and help me write better and more. I like to write about things that I like or even thing that I read about. Reading is one of my favorite things to do so writing about it helps me remember what I read and whyI like it. Until Tomorrow,
Kristen Wilson
