Front Parlor- "I smelled furniture wax everywhere. Somebody had gone over the entire parlor with it, a big room with fringed throw rugs, an old piano with a lace runner, and cane-bottom rocker draped with afghans. Each chair had its own little velvet stool sitting before it."
Sue Monk Kidd has a different way of writing. Her description of the house was good and strong. The way she said everything makes you feel like you in the house and can smell and feel everything that is there. Sue's writing uses big words and words you wouldn't hear in our day. When she writes it makes me feel like I am at the place she is talking about, and makes me feel what she is feeling. Its a weird way to write but I like it because it is different from any other way someone would write. My writing isn't as good as hers because sometimes you can't feel or smell everything I do. You sort of do, but not like you would with the writing of this book.
